6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.,
2nd floor of the Arkansas Studies Institute,

Chris Stewart will introduce us to the Butler Center’s recent acquisition of county records on microfilm from all the counties in Arkansas. We will focus on using county records to enrich biographical and historical accounts of the life events that have shaped the lives of our families. Chris will give a description of the types of information we find in records from each type of court, and we will discuss incorporating land records into our genealogical research. Handouts will include a glossary of legal terms found in county records. Time will be allowed at the end of the meeting for us to use the resources in the ASI Research Room.
